HOW WE TRAIN
COMPETITIVE
Every game includes a competitive component that rewards the winning team and creates a healthy competitive spirit within the training environment.
BALL MASTERY
Training should involve the ball whenever possible, ensuring players receive meaningful technical repetition throughout every session.
FUN
Coaches use creativity to design enjoyable, soccer-specific activities that keep players engaged—especially at younger ages.
SESSION STRUCTURE
01
PREPARATION
All coaches prepare and review a complete session plan before training begins. A record of all session plans is maintained by the coaching department.
02
DURING THE SESSION
Coaches avoid stopping activities too frequently, allowing players to recognize problems and discover solutions. Coaching points should be clear, accurate, and concise so the activity can restart quickly.
03
EVALUATION
After every session, coaches review what worked well, identify areas requiring improvement, and record those observations for future planning.
INDIVIDUAL DEVELOPMENT
BALL CONTROL & PASSING
A player’s technique is built upon secure ball control and accurate passing. The quality and direction of the first touch are essential to successful play.
PERCEPTION & AWARENESS
Players are taught to keep their heads up, scan the field, and recognize their surroundings. Perception and awareness are fundamental parts of the game.
SPEED OF REACTION
Every practice incorporates speed of perception, decision-making, and execution. Improving individual speed of thought and action increases the speed of the entire team.
COLLECTIVE DEVELOPMENT
SPACE & MOVEMENT
Creating space to receive the ball and provide passing options for the player in possession is essential. Players learn how and when to move to support effective team play.
ATTACK & DEFENSE
Every player attacks and defends. Coaches assign clear responsibilities and teach the appropriate movements required from each player and the team as a complete unit.
SPEED OF PLAY
The objective is to play at the highest effective speed. Reducing space and limiting unnecessary touches help players think faster, move the ball quicker, and increase the overall speed of play.
